This interactive novella takes the form of a series of scans taken by an archival process running on a space station. Each chapter is a moment, held still. Nothing moves; nothing can be touched. Type the name of anything you want to see - a light, a room, the dark outside - and the record will show you what it holds.

This work was written in conversation with AI (Claude). The majority of the decisions made on this project were my own. The rest (including all prose) arose from a collaborative back-and-forth between myself and AI.

This work arose from two desires: to tell a personal story I didn't think I could adequately tell by myself and wanting to explore what a project made in concert with AI could be, if it could feel genuine with enough human creative input and vision.

There are many ethical issues with AI, both environmental (water, energy use) and societal (data used without consent for training, concentration of power, deskilling). I am still involved in the personal work of reconciling this project with those beliefs.
